South Africa is taking on Pakistan in the second T20I of the three match series at the SuperSport park in Centurion. In a match that has mostly been dominated by the batters, Reeza Hendricks has scored a brilliant hundred helping his team propel towards a massive target.
Earlier in the day, Pakistan won the toss and opted to bat first. In what appeared to be a get batting wicket, Saim Ayub played a blazing knock. Though he was left stranded at 98 off 57 deliveries, it was his brilliant knock that took Pakistan past the 200-mark.
Reeza Hendricks Scores His Maiden T20I Hundred
South Africa has been tasked with chasing down 207 runs in 20 overs. They were in an early trouble after Ryan Rickelton was dismissed early. However, Rassie van der Dussen joined Reeza Hendricks in the middle and the duo dominated the proceedings from there on.
Reeza Hendricks has stood up to the challenge and has scored a brilliant century in this challenging chase. His innings was filled with class, finesse and muscle when required. He gave no opportunity to the Pakistan bowlers to make a comeback in the match. It was a herculean effort from the right handed opener as he brought up his century with a six.
Notably, Hendricks reached his half-century with a brilliant six. What seemed like a very challenging total, was reduced to a light work by van der Dussen and Reeza Hendricks.
Hendricks's knock ultimately came to an end after he scored 117 runs off 63 deliveries. His knock was decorated by seven fours and 10 sixes.
Is Reeza Hendricks A Part Of IPL 2025?
No Reeza Hendricks is not a part of the IPL 2025. He was a part of the primary list of 1574 players to be auctioned for the next edition of the tournament. However, he did not make the final cut to become a part of the shortened final list of 574 players. Notably, he registered for the tournament with a base price of INR 1 Cr.
