South Africa and Pakistan are playing against each other in the second T20I of the three match series. The home team are chasing a target of 207 in this match to seal off the series. A lot depends on Reeza Hendricks in this case, as the team are looking for a good start from them.

Is Reeza Hendricks Playing IPL 2025?

Reeza Hendricks has been a stable opener in the T20 format. However, when it comes to playing in IPL 2025, the South African batter has not been purchased by any of the teams during the auction.

Notably, Reeza Hendricks was a part of the primary list of the players for IPL 2025 auction which had 1574 players in it. However, this was not the final list of players who were ultimately put under the hammer during the two-day mega event. In the end only 574 players selected to be a part of the auction. This list was finalised on the basis of the demands from the franchises. Unfortunately, none of the franchises were interested in the South African opener and hence he was not a part of this final list.

Reeza Hendricks is yet to play a single match in the Indian Premier League. In his T20 career, Hendricks has played 77 matches and has scored 2,154 runs in them at a strike rate of 129.68. The numbers for the right-handed batter is decent in the format and he has often presented himself as a stable and consistent run-scorer. However, his skills have not yet impressed an IPL franchise to earn him a contract in the grand league.
