South Africa opener Reeza Hendricks notched up a cracking half-century against Pakistan in the first T20I of their three-match away series. The cricketer scored fifty from just 33 balls with five fours and a towering six at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
Through the course of his attacking knock, Reeza Hendricks also soared past injured David Miller for a huge T20I record against the ‘Men in Green’.
Reeza Hendricks becomes South Africa’s most elite vs PAK
Reeza Hendricks became South Africa’s highest run-maker in T20I matches against Pakistan. The blistering right-handed opening batter surpassed senior pro and currently-injured David Miller.
It is worth noting that David Miller aggregated 359 T20I runs against Pakistan in 13 innings at a prolific batting average of nearly 60 and with an astonishing strike rate of 163.18. While Miller was scheduled to lead South Africa in the T20I segment of this tour, a hamstring strain forced him out of both white-ball series.
