Ellyse Perry, RCB Women's retained player for WBBL 2026 and Australia's star all-rounder, has yet again proved her point in the ongoing WBBL 2025 season.

On the November 30 Sydney Derby clash at North Sydney Oval, Ellyse Perry scored an unbeaten 77 runs off 44 balls to prove her masterclass with the bat.

Perry shines with the bat in Sydney derby

While chasing a mammoth 175-run target from Sydney Thunder Women, Sydney Sixers came out confident with Ellyse Perry opening with a strong foundation at the top.

Perry struck at 175.00, and her innings was laced with 10 boundaries and 3 sixes, while she formed partnerships with Sophia Dunkley for 58 runs and Alyssa Healy for 54 runs.

Perry saw the end of the game as 4 wickets of Sydney Sixers fell. Perry was the top scorer, while Dunkley, whom she opened with, also scored 44 runs to help the team wrap up the game with 5 balls remaining.

With the ball, though, Perry was expensive. From her two overs, she gave away 27 runs while going wicketless and bowling at an economy rate of 13.50.

Meanwhile, Sydney Thunder exploited Sixers’ bowling, with Lauren Cheatle giving away 36 runs, and Amelia Kerr also gave away 32 runs but picked up 2 wickets in the process. Perry herself went wicketless and was expensive as she gave away 27 runs from her 2 overs.

Ellyse Perry showcases form ahead of WPL 2026

RCB-W will be happy with the progress since this was Perry's one of the best knocks in the WBBL season so far. The star only managed to pack 33 and 47 in the season, and with the ball too, scalped only 2 wickets.

Hence, a run back in form would be of significant help to Perry's confidence as well as RCB-W ahead of the WPL 2026, which begins from January 9.
