South Africa and Afghanistan are playing against each other in the first semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2024. This match is being played at the Brian Lara Cricket Stadium in Tarouba, Trinidad.

SA vs AFG: Toss Result

The Afghan skipper, Rashid Khan have won the toss and have opted to bat first.

Rashid Khan thought that even though it was a fresh wicket, they will be happy to put the runs on the board and then restrict the South Africans.

The skipper looked happy with how the top-order has taken the responsibility and the team has responded as a whole to the tough situations.

Afghanistan have had a dream run so far and they will be looking to keep it going to make it into their first final of an ICC tournament.

South Africa, on the other hand, has played efficient cricket in the tournament and has remained undefeated so far. They have often found themselves in trouble, but the biggest positive has been the fact that they have bailed themselves out of those situations.

Aiden Markram said during the toss that he too would have batted first on winning the toss. But the skipper wants his team to put up their hands in all the situations and then play their best cricket to make way into their first ever final of the T20 World Cups.

Notably, both the teams have gone in with the same XIs from their previous outings
