Rajat Patidar Injures His Finger vs CSK
The event happened in the 11th over. It was the fourth ball of that over with Suyash Sharma, the bowler, and Ravindra Jadeja, the batter. It was a shortish delivery and Ravindra Jadeja slapped it towards the extra cover region. Rajat Patidar in the ring, tried to stop it, but only managed to get a finger on the ball.
The ball raced away towards the fence, despite his efforts, and RCB captain had to pay the price. Patidar was not eager to walk off the field, but could not do much as he needed some treatment. Virat Kohli took over the charge after Patidar's injury, and it was a dive into the glorious past with the most celebrated RCB star back as leader.
RCB scored 213 in the first innings courtesy of fifties by Jacob Bethell and Romario Shepherd. Shepherd especially went for the kill in the final couple of overs and blasted 53 from just 14 balls. In the second half, Ayush Mhatre and Jadeja did all they could to take their team over the line, but CSK choked in the final few overs and RCB managed to pull off a win for the ages.
