On Thursday, England defeated India in a one-sided semi-final of the T20 World Cup to set up a date with Pakistan in the all-important grand finale.

Chasing 169, England's opening duo of Jos Buttler (80*) and Alex Hales (86*) demolished the Indian side as they chased the target in just 16 overs.

Now after the win, England skipper Buttler was full of praise for his side and believes that his side is ready to take on the Pakistan challenge on Sunday.

"The Ireland game feels a long time ago. The character we've shown to get through the tournament since then, and put in our best performance today has been amazing. We came here excited, it was a great feeling. A complete group effort, we always want to start as fast as we can and be aggressive," Buttler said in the post-match press presentations.

This was our best performance: Buttler

"It was our best performance so far in the tournament, and to do it on a day like this is incredibly satisfying. You couldn't ask for a better run-chase. Adil Rashid was playing in at number 11, so that gives us the freedom to come out aggressive. Hales used the dimensions of the ground and we complemented each other perfectly. He was a brilliant partner today," Buttler added.

After a ruthless performance against India, England will collide against Pakistan in the final on Sunday, and Buttler will hope for a similar performance from his team.
