Punjab Kings First Team in the IPL to Score 200+ in Four Consecutive Matches

Punjab Kings created history in the ongoing match against Mumbai Indians. They have now become the first team in the tournament's history to score more than 200 runs in four back-to-back games.

The streak started against Mumbai Indians on April 22. Sam Curran scored a half-century and Harpreet Singh scored 44 runs in that game. The bowlers successfully defended the target.

In the next game against Lucknow Super Giants, they scored 201 runs in a chase of 258. Atharva Taide top scored with a knock of 66 runs, while the likes of Liam Livingstone, Sikandar Raza and Jitesh Sharma also made significant contributions.

This was followed by another 200+ total against Chennai Super Kings. This time, they successfully chased down a target of 201 runs. Prabhsimran Singh and Liam Livingstone scored in 40s, while Shikhar Dhawan and Sam Curran also contributed. 

And in the ongoing game against Mumbai Indians, the Punjab Kings posted 214 runs batting first. Livingstone and Jitesh Sharma, who remained unbeaten on 82 and 49 respectively, were the star performers.

By the time of writing, MI were 170 for two in fifteen overs with Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav at the crease.
