Orange And Purple Cap Winner: Who Tops The List In IPL 2025 After PBKS vs KKR Game?

In what turned out to be an absolute humdinger in Chandigarh, Punjab Kings overcame Kolkata Night Riders by 16 runs in a tense thriller. Batting first, the Kings were bowled out for 111, whereas the Knight Riders could only manage 95 on the board.

The Kolkata Knight Riders were top-notch with the bowling, where Harshit Rana picked three while Varun Chakaravarthy and Sunil Narine grabbed two apiece. Also, Prabhsimran Singh was the highest scorer for the Punjab side with 30 runs to his name.

On the other hand, Kolkata Knight Riders were doomed by the leg spinner, Yuzvendra Chahal, who grabbed sensational figures of 4/28 runs, while Marco Jansen's 3/17 helped Punjab in doing most of the damage, where Kolkata couldn't even get to the 100-run mark.

Therefore, there is no change on the orange cap table with the top five batters staying at their places, whereas Punjab skipper Shreyas Iyer, who was dismissed for a two-ball duck, is still in fourth after scoring 250 runs in six games, while his average has dropped to 62.50 after previously being 83.33.

Talking about the purple cap charts, Noor Ahmad retains his top position with 12 wickets in seven matches, as the rest of the bowlers have maintained their positions without any change in the figures of the top five players in this bracket. The only player to feature from these two sides in purple cap list is Varun Chakaravarthy, who has 10 wickets in seven games, but has a higher average as compared to some others.
