New Zealand will be up against Bangladesh in the fifth match of the New Zealand T20I Tri-Series 2022 at Hagley Oval in Christchurch on Wednesday, October 12.

New Zealand made an astounding comeback after being outclassed by Pakistan in their opening match. They went on to win their next two matches on the trot. 

The hosts also avenged their previous six-wicket loss to Pakistan, handing them a humiliating nine-wicket defeat in their most recent fixture at Hagley Oval, Christchurch. 

Bangladesh, on the other hand, has continued their recent dismal form in the shortest format, having lost both of their games in the ongoing tri-series. 

Earlier New Zealand trounced Bangladesh by eight wickets in the tri-series. The Tigers will look to exact revenge upon the hosts, although it won't be an easy task for them.

  • Devon Conway: He is the leading run-scorer in the tri-series, having charted 155 runs in three matches at an astonishing average of 155 and a strike rate of 117.42. 
  • Finn Allen: He clobbered 62 runs from 42 deliveries against Pakistan in the recent fixture. Overall, he has scored 91 runs in three innings at an average of 30.33.
  • Liton Das: The Bangladesh wicketkeeper-batter has scored 50 runs in two matches and is the leading run-scorer for his team in the tri-series. 
  • Tim Southee: The Kiwi pacer has picked up five wickets in three innings at an economy of 6.30 and a strike rate of 12. Earlier, he picked up a three-wicket haul against Bangladesh.
