The swashbuckling finisher for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) Nicholas Pooran has been in incredible form this season scoring runs after runs for his side, most recently against SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) where he banged 44 not out of just 13 deliveries striking four sixes alongside three boundaries.

Pooran's blitz was enough for LSG to seal the game with four balls to spare as his and Prerak Mankad's partnership helped them chase down 183. Post-game Pooran spoke to broadcasters and revealed that he was looking to target spin right from ball one.

Adding to it, he said Abhishek Sharma's over where he and Marcus Stoinis found 31 runs was the game-changing moment of the game as taking risks was important against their sixth bowler.

Backing himself, the southpaw said he has had enough international experience under his belt to score runs in these situations against yorkers and slower ones.

"We spoke about adapting, we knew we could target that one over from spin, it was right up to my match-up and thankfully it came off well (on the 31-run over from Abhishek), I did enjoy my batting. It's important to target that 6th bowler, it's a batter's game, no risk, no reward, you have to work on the match-ups. I've played enough international cricket to know how to deal with situations, I expected the bowlers to bowl yorkers and slower balls and was ready for it. Even in T20I cricket, I'd like to bat longer."

LSG after this victory will go head-to-head against Mumbai Indians on 16th May at their home ground in Lucknow.
