On October 25, India and Australia faced each other in the third and final ODI of the white-ball series at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Australia captain Mitchell Marsh won the toss and chose to bat first against Shubman Gill's Indian team.
Talking about the changes, Australia have made one change, with Nathan Ellis replacing Xavier Bartlett. Meanwhile, India made two changes, Kuldeep Yadav and Prasidh Krishna came in for Nitish Kumar Reddy and Arshdeep Singh, who were rested.
Notably, after losing the first two matches by seven wickets in Perth and by two wickets in Adelaide, India will now look to win this game for pride and end the series on a positive note.
Australia vs India 3rd ODI: Captain's thoughts
Shubman Gill (India Captain): "I think we would have bowled first to be honest, have a target on the board and then go about it. We have got what we wanted. Yeah, I think we had enough runs on the board just could not take the chances that came our way. The game was going on pretty even till about the 40th over. I think in the end, they played well. "
Mitchell Marsh (Australia Captain): "We are going to bat first. It looks like a very nice wicket. It is going to be a very beautiful day, hoping to put big runs on the board.
The way our young guys stood up towards the back end. Mitch Owen and Cooper Connolly especially. Some great signs for our team and it's about winning games and all different types of ways. You want to become one of the best teams in the World. I thought the last game was great example of that and today is a great opportunity to go 3-0 up in this series."
