Virat Kohli registered his second consecutive duck in the Adelaide ODI against Australia, marking the first time in his career that he has fallen for back-to-back zeroes. However, what has left fans more astonished is an astrology prediction from April 2016 that seemingly foresaw this nearly nine years ago.

The Facebook post from an astrology page named Stars and Astrology has resurfaced online and is now going viral. The page had earlier published a detailed timeline outlining Kohli’s personal and professional journey.

Astrology prediction turns into reality for Kohli

Interestingly, the first six predictions from the post were accurate, correctly foretelling events such as his marriage year, the birth of his children, and major brand endorsements.

According to point number seven of the horoscope, “Virat’s career will partially flounder between August 2025 and February 2027.” The eighth point adds, “Virat’s career will pick up in 2027, and he will retire on a very high note before March 2028.”

These predictions have gained renewed attention since Kohli registered two consecutive ducks for the first time in October 2025. The forecast also suggested that he would likely play the 2027 World Cup and achieve great success during that tournament, though it remains uncertain whether Kohli will continue playing until then.

Kohli's shrill chances of playing World Cup 2027

Virat Kohli has already retired from T20Is following India’s T20 World Cup 2024 triumph and stepped away from Test cricket on May 12, 2025. With only the ODI format and the IPL left in his playing calendar, his chances of continuing for another two years appear slim.

Nonetheless, after two disappointing outings in the current series, Kohli will be eager to bounce back in the third and final ODI at the Sydney Cricket Ground on October 25, a dead rubber, with Australia having already sealed the series 2-0.
