Once again Suyash Sharma has been brought in as the impact player for the Kolkata Knight Riders. This time, he has a stern task ahead of him, to stop the Gujarat Titans to achieve the target of 180. He has replaced Venkatesh Iyer, who had an off-day with the bat in hand.

Throughout the tournament, Suyash has been wonderfully used by KKR skipper Nitish Rana as an impact player. When the Knight Riders bowl first, they tend to keep Suyash in the impact substitution group.

In 6 IPL matches this season, the leg-break bowler has picked up 9 wickets, at an economy of 8.13. But what standouts the most is his ability to deliver under pressure.

In the last match against the Royal Challengers Bangalore, Suyash showed his prowess with the ball and picked up 2 for 30 in a high-scoring game. Even in the last match against RCB, Suyash came in as the impact player and immediately left his mark with the crucial wicket of Faf du Plessis.

Suyash forms a formidable trio alongside Sunil Narine and Varun Chakravarthy and will be a potent force against the GT batters.

Talking about the ongoing match, KKR scored 179 for 7 in 20 overs. Rahmanullah Gurbaz was the star with the bat, scoring a crucial 81 off 39 deliveries.
