Experienced Pakistan seamer Naseem Shah bowled one of the worst spells of the Caribbean Premier League 2025 in St Kitts and Nevis Patriots' ongoing encounter against Trinbago Knight Riders. Besides going wicketless, Naseem conceded 40 runs off his three-over spell.

Naseem Gets Smashed By Munro And Co In CPL 2025

Naseem Shah had a great start to the CPL 2025, registering impressive bowling figures of 2/20 and 1/19 against Antigua and Guyana, respectively. However, his outing against the Knight Riders turned out to be a nightmare, with the visitors dispatching him to all parts of the ground.

Veteran New Zealand opener Colin Munro took a particular liking for the Pakistan speedster, smashing him for two boundaries and three sixes in his three-over spell. Munro's assault led to Naseem's horrendous performance as the fast bowler conceded 40 runs without scalping a wicket in the high-voltage match.

While Jason Holder and Waqar Salamkheil bagged two wickets each, Naseem let down the Patriots with his shambolic spell. Meanwhile, Munro eventually brought up a scintillating century, powering the Knight Riders to a whopping total of 231 runs in 20 overs.

Naseem Justifies Asia Cup Exclusion

Naseem Shah was one of the prominent names to miss out on Pakistan's Asia Cup squad alongside the veteran duo of Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan. Although the fast bowler was sidelined on the expected lines, his reputation of being a match-winner in white-ball cricket made fans wonder if he would be a big miss for the Men in Green in the marquee event.

However, Naseem justified his non-selection with the forgettable spell against the Knight Riders. While he failed to utilise the new ball up front, the way Munro dealt with him in the slog overs exploited his death bowling.
