The MI vs LSG game has been interrupted with rains and the covers are on the pitch. This is the third time in IPL 2024 that rain has disrupted play. Before this, GT vs KKR clash in Ahmedabad and then SRH vs GT game at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium were marred by rain, as a result of which both the games were abandoned.

As of the latest update, the very light drizzle has stopped and the covers are off. The umpires are out there in the middle, having a conversation with the head of the ground staff. The match will begin at 10:50 PM, with no loss of overs.

Earlier, both Rohit Sharma and Dewald Brevis looked in sublime form tonight, just when it started raining, and they had to run out of the field as the support staff rushed to field with covers.

In the first innings, Nicholas Pooran and KL Rahul's heroics helped LSG reach 215 runs. Before the rain, the game halted with MI at 33 runs with no loss of wicket. MI need 182 runs in 97 balls to win their last IPL 2024 game.
