The ninth match of the Maharaja T20 League 2023 will be played between Gulbarga Mystics and Shivamogga Lions on Thursday, August 17, at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru.

Gulbarga Mystics 

Gulbarga Mystics made a roaring start to their tournament, crushing Bengaluru Blasters by six wickets. However, their winning streak was short-lived, as Hubli Tigers got the best of them with a seven-wicket win.  

Their batting was on fire in the first game, chasing down 138 runs against Bengaluru Blasters. But things took a nosedive in the second match when they batted first. Heading into this game, they are geared up to make a strong comeback.

Chethan LR, Aadarsh Prajwal, and Aneesh KV are among the batters who have displayed promising performances for the Gulbarga Mystics thus far. As they head into this game, they are eager to make further contributions to the team and help lead them across the finish line. 

Shivamogga Lions

On the other hand, Shivamogga Lions are on fire, kicking off the tournament with two wins in a row. They bossed both games batting first and defending the target, giving a sneak peek into their fearsome bowling lineup. 

Meanwhile, their batting game is a showstopper too. They kicked things off by piling up 176 runs against Mangaluru Dragons and clinching the win by nine runs. Then came Bengaluru Blasters, where they unleashed 201 runs and defended it well, securing a 36-run victory.  

Rohan Kadam, Nihal Ullal, Abhinav Manohar, and Kranti Kumar have been the MVPs in the first two games for Shivamogga Lions. They must be amped up to keep the magic going and add more firepower to the team's winning spree.
