Why Is Litton Das Not Playing vs India?
For the unversed, a day before the India match, Litton Das suffered a back strain during the practice session, following which the physios attended him and took him out of the field immedieately.
Das did not come back to train and underwent a few scans. The doctors were hopeful that their regular skipper will be fit in time for the match against India . However, the 30-year-old failed to recover and misses out of India game because of back strain. Meanwhile, stand-in skipper jaker Ali too provided update about Litton during the toss.
"We would like to bowl first. Actually in the practice session he got injured. Unfortunately he misses out in this crucial game. Yes I am excited to lead the team. We are playing against the best team in the world. The surface looks very good to bat on," remarked jaker Ali during the toss.
Why Is Litton Das' Absence A Big Loss For Bangladesh
Not having Litton Das for India match is big loss for Bangladesh as the right-handed batter was having a great tournament with the bat. In the four games, Das has amassed 119 runs, averaging 29.75, which also featured a fifty-plus score.
More than the batting, Bangladesh will also miss Das' leadership as the newly appointed T20I captain has brought immediate results and also won the crucial home T20I series against Pakistan under his leadership. Thus, jaker Ali has big responsibilities on his shoulders.
