It was a little difficult period for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) to start off against Rajasthan Royals (RR) as the run-scoring wasn't easy from what it seemed from outside. Skipper KL Rahul and Kyle Mayers were struggling to score runs in the powerplay, however, the latter after a slow beginning to his innings changed the gears to reach his third Indian Premier League (IPL) fifty.

The left-hander has been in fine touch during the tournament where he previously played two handsome knocks against Delhi Capitals (DC) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

The Barbadian cricketer is wreaking havoc with the bat as his classy form as forced LSG management to South African superstar Quinton de Kock on the sidelines.

Mayers' knock after some early struggle with the bat as his partner KL Rahul wasn't able to rotate the strike causing pressure at the other end.

Somehow they managed to recover and put on some runs on the board with him scoring 51 off 42 balls hitting three sixes and four fours.

At the time of writing, LSG were 104 for 4 after the end of 14 overs.
