The rotten luck of Delhi Capitals (DC) is not leaving them from the beginning of the tournament as they have lost five games on a trot and are looking for their first win of this season when they take on Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Arun Jaitley Stadium.

The unit hasn't been able to live up to the expectations as their batting on most occasions with only real contributions coming from David Warner and Axar Patel. The rest just haven't been able to perform causing problems with the entire setup.

Hopefully, they would be able to put on a better show with the bat along with picking up timely wickets with the ball. Therefore, let's have a look at which XI players can take the field for this game:

Openers: David Warner (c), Prithvi Shaw

Skipper David Warner has given his everything for the team until now with 228 runs from five games with three half-centuries to his name. The Australian superstar has been a prolific performer in the league with runs in almost every season. However, the major concern for him has been the lack of support from the other end which has often resulted in a lower strike rate.

His opening partner Prithvi Shaw has been a disappointment with not even a single decent inning in this competition. Hence, he needs to step up now to ensure that they score plenty of runs at the top.

Middle Order: Mitchell Marsh, Manish Pandey, Axar Patel, Sarfaraz Khan, Lalit Yadav, Abishek Porel (wk)

Mitchell Marsh's versatile ability has been no stranger to anyone. The all-rounder has been able to bowl well but his performance with the bat is still missing, which is just about a matter of time before he comes good.

Manish Pandey played a solid knock against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the last game and will be hopeful of continuing his form in this tournament.

Axar Patel has added a great dimension to his skillset which is batting, the southpaw is the second-highest run-scorer for the side with one half-century. His bowling has been decent as they need others to support him.

Yash Dhull hasn't made use of the opportunities given to him which makes it likely for Sarfaraz Khan to be brought back into contention for the upcoming clash. The big-hitter has the capability to take on the best bowlers and change the game for his side.

Lalit Yadav is likely to be backed whereas Rishabh Pant's replacement Abishek Porel hasn't been upto the mark with the bat and will have to step up in the senior's absence.

Bowlers: Kuldeep Yadav, Anrich Nortje, Mustafizur Rahman

Kuldeep Yadav will play a vital role for the Delhi Capitals with his left-arm chinaman bowling to accompany Axar in the spin department where Lalit is likely to chip in as well.

Anrich Nortje and Mustafizur Rahman will form the pace battery that has the potential to decimate any opposition with their quality.
