Legends League Cricket will return for the second season this time around, with four teams contesting to earn the title. Each team can have 18-25 players in the squad, with a minimum necessity of six Indians forming the core.

All the teams had 8 Crores as their overall budget for the chance to pick from 79 former cricketers who enrolled themselves in the draft. However, only 59 of them got selected in the first round, with teams having a few more days to fill the remaining slots in their squad using the purse available.

Virender Sehwag will lead Gujarat Giants owned by Adani Group, Gautam Gambhir will be in charge of India Capitals owned by GMR Group, whereas Harbhajan Singh will lead the Manipal Tigers owned by Manipal Education & Medical Group (MEMG) and final team Bhilwara Kings owned by LNJ Bhilwara Group will be captained by former Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan.

League will be conducted from 16th September to 8th October with 16 matches to be held across six cities, i.e. Kolkata, Lucknow, New Delhi, Cuttack, Jodhpur, and one undecided venue for the final stage will see legends of the game going head-to-head against each other.
