On Friday, October 3, KL Rahul silenced his critics and brought up his second Test hundred at home with a classy century against the West Indies in the ongoing first Test at the Narendra Modi Stadium. KL ended his nine-year-long wait to score a ton at home.

Notably, KL, who opened the innings, took 190 deliveries to slam a ton. It was a special one for the right-handed batter, and he made it even more special with a unique celebration.

What does KL Rahul's unique celebration mean?

After his ton, KL raised his bat, removed his helmet and put two fingers in his mouth, appearing to have done a 'whistle' celebration. However, the fans were perplexed over the celebrations, but the DC star seemingly dedicated his hundred to his newborn daughter, Evaarah.

Notably, on March 24, 2025, KL Rahul and his wife Athiya Shetty had welcomed their first newborn, following which KL had also missed a couple of IPL games for DC as well in the 2025 season.

Evaarah has certainly brought the lady luck in Rahul's life as the 33-year-old has slammed three centuries since her birth. Two came against England in the July-August tour and one in the ongoing Test against West Indies.

Athiya Shetty confirms Rahul's celebration

Soon after KL's 11th Test hundred, his wife and Bollywood actress Athiya Shetty took to Twitter to post a special message for her husband. "The best for his best," visibly referring to their newborn daughter Evaarah.

Unfortunately, Rahul couldn't convert the hundred to a big score and fell right after the Lunch got over. KL returned to the pavilion after scoring 100 (197), which featured 12 fours and no sixes.
