Kane Williamson is arguably New Zealand's best-ever Test batter and he proved it once again in the ongoing Test match against England at Seddon Park, Hamilton. He breached the three-figure mark and attained a special milestone Vs England.

In the second innings of the Kiwis, New Zealand took apart the English attack with ease and the assault was led by Kane Williamson, who slammed a brilliant 156 off 204 balls and in the process, scripted history.

Williamson's love-affair with Seddon Park

With this century, Williamson became the first batter in the history of cricket to score five consecutive centuries at a single venue. The journey began in 2019 against Bangladesh when he slammed an unbeaten 200 runs. The journey continued against England in the same year, when he scored a majestic 104*, and followed it up with yet another double ton against West Indies.

Earlier this year, Williamson hammered a classy 133* against South Africa and he continued the Seddon Park love-affair with yet another ton in the ongoing contest.

Highest average at this venue belongs to Williamson

In 12 matches at this venue, Williamson has accumulated 1563 runs, at an astonishing average of 97.69. He comes fifth in the list of players who have the highest Test averages at a single venue.

The great Don Bradman sits at the top of the table with an average of 128 at Melbourne, and India's VVS Laxman also occupies the list, as the former cricketer loved batting at Eden Gardens and boasted an average of 110. Williamson's knock has pushed England on the verge of defeat as the Kiwis lead by 538 runs.
