England picked up a vital win over Australia in their T20I clash yesterday and captain Jos Buttler has now reflected on the turning point of the game.

England have now taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series and the Three Lions will be brimming with confidence heading into the T20 World Cup 2022 later this year.

As for Australia, they are the hosts of the ICC event and they will need to get the defeat out of their system as soon as possible and prepare for the showpiece event in their own backyard.

Buttler has heaped paise on England batter Dawid Malan for his splendid knock but he believes that getting the wicket of Australian star Tim David was the turning point of the game for England.

On Malan, he said: "It's really satisfying. Dawid has been really consistent and has done it against every attack around the world."

England had set a target of 179 batting first and Australia fell short by 8 runs. Malan slammed a 49 ball 82. Chasing the target, Tim David seemed like he would get the Aussies over the line, before he was bowled by Sam Curran on 40 off 23 balls.

Reflecting on David's game-changing dismissal, Buttler said (as quoted by India Today):

"Sam Curran wants to be in the thick of things at the important moments. We had to get Tim David out to win the game."
