If you ask a modern cricket fan, Who is your favourite Indian bowler? The answer is very plain and simple - Jasprit Bumrah. In fact, not only in the contemporary world, but also, Bumrah has built enough credibility to be called the best pace bowler India has ever produced.
The Indian team is currently touring England for a five-match Test series. The two teams are battling it out in the home of cricket, the Lord's, in the third Test of the series.
Incidentally, England won the toss and opted to bat first in the game. On the first day of the game, the Indian bowling managed to pick up four English wickets but kept the batters tied down and conceded only 251 runs.
However, the home team had Joe Root and skipper Ben Stokes on the crease and would have looked to build on a position of strength on the second day.

But the brilliance of Bumrah struck early on day two. On the second delivery of the 86th over, Bumrah bowled a delivery that pitched around the good length area and shaped in a bit to the batter. Stokes tried to defend the ball away from his body and left a big gap between the bat and the ball.
The ball snuck in through the game and clipped off the top of the off stump. It was a beautiful delivery, and Stokes had no answer to that. The video of the dismissal, posted by Star Sports on the X handle, went viral immediately among the fans.

Bumrah did not stop there; he also picked up the most precious wicket of the innings and the centurion Joe Root. The dismissal of Root was immediately followed by the departure of Chris Woakes.
It was the brilliance of Bumrah early on Day 2 that got England from 251/4 to 271/7.
