Another day, another thriller in the Indian Premier League (IPL) as Rajasthan Royals (RR) finally beat their nemesis Gujarat Titans (GT) for the first time in history courtesy of two wonderful innings from skipper Sanju Samson and Shimron Hetmyer.

Chasing 178 for victory, Rajasthan finished the game with four balls to spare as the West Indian launched spinner Noor Ahmed for a six in the second delivery of the over.

Batter Devdutt Padikkal who played a 26-run knock after the game revealed that it got quite tense for them but thankfully, they were good enough to finish it.

He further praised his teammate Hetmyer who played a brilliant unbeaten 56-run knock where he stood tall against GT's bowling attack.

"Yeah it gets a bit tense when the match goes down to the wire. I felt everyone had the belief that we had batsmen who could finish it off. We had to try and keep the scoreboard ticking. We had to make sure that we get the odd boundaries.

Adding to this, Padikkal said that it's phenomenal to see how he always makes comeback in tough situations like this.

"It was moving quite a bit in the first three to four overs. If the ball was in our areas we had to go for it. Yeah, it's unbelievable how consistent he [Shimron Hetmyer] is. How he comes back and delivers again and again in these situations. Such a great talent to have him in the side. Yeah, he will be the one to lead the party tonight."

After this, Rajasthan Royals will next have a face-off against Lucknow Super Giants on 19th April at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur.
