IRE vs IND, 3rd T20I | Playing 11 Prediction, Cricket Tips, Preview & Live Streaming

Much like the previous two contests, the Village in Dublin will host the third and final T20I between Ireland and India on Wednesday, August 20. Under Jasprit Bumrah, the Men in Blue have already taken an unassailable lead in this series by winning the first two matches. Hence, do not be surprised if you see a few changes in their playing XI before the focus completely shifts to the Asia Cup and World Cup.

IRE vs IND: Team Previews

Ireland

Ireland were unlucky in the series opener, which they lost by two runs via the DLS method. They came to defend a sub-par 140 and bowled ordinarily against Ruturaj Gaikwad and Yashasvi Jaiswal in the Powerplay before reversing course and making a strong comeback. Craig Young was the architect, scalping two wickets in five balls before the rain stopped play altogether.

In the second T20I, Andy Balbirnie stood out with the bat, scoring an elegant 51-ball 72 that included five fours and four sixes. However, he did not have much help from his teammates, and that cost the Irish team dearly as they finished on 152/8 after coming to chase 186.

Josh Little returning to his full flow would be welcome for Ireland in this consolation fixture. Little needs to step up if he wants to keep India's score low after conceding 48 runs in his previous four overs and appearing uninspired throughout his entire spell.

Ireland are more worried about Lorcan Tucker's form than Little. Coming in at No. 3, Tucker is yet to score a run in this series, and as a result of his struggles, Ireland were unable to lay the groundwork for the finishers.

Given their spirited performances one after another, Ireland are unlikely to make any changes in their lineup. They are expected to stick to their core and hope their star names perform up to their standards in order to finish things off on a positive note.

India

Rinku Singh's performance in the second T20I was perfect-just what India needed. To support him, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Sanju Samson batted beautifully as well. No wonder India's aggressive batting throughout the match was the game's high point.

Indian fans are, as always, ecstatic to see Jasprit Bumrah bowling at the top of his game. In order to execute an incredible comeback, Bumrah became the first Indian captain to win Man of the Match to begin the tour. With impressive figures of 4-1-15-2, he continued his purple patch in the second T20I as well.

Given that the series is already decided, India may make a few changes in their lineup, with Avesh Khan likely to play first. Avesh was sidelined in all five T20Is against the West Indies, and therefore, he should get some playing time in this fixture. Arshdeep Singh, who did not have great outings, is likely to make room for him.

It will be intriguing to see if Jitesh Sharma, one of the hottest Indian batters around, plays. Washington Sundar, who also did not have memorable performances, may be replaced by his like-for-like backup Shahbaz Ahmed.

IRE vs IND: Pitch Report

The pitch is likely to benefit batters more than bowlers, as it did in the second T20I. The Dublin surface has always been a batting paradise, and unless the rain arrives, it should remain the same. Additionally, the match will be played in the afternoon (3 PM Local Time start), which will make the conditions even more favorable for batters.

Ireland vs India Head to Head in T20Is

India and Ireland have faced off against each other seven times in T20Is, with India winning each and every fixture. In other words, Ireland havr not yet defeated India in the game's shortest format.

Ireland vs India 3rd T20I Prediction

Despite making changes, it would be very unlikely that Ireland would pull one back against a high-flying Indian side that have been performing admirably under Bumrah. Therefore, expect India to win in order to complete a 3-0 sweep.
