The match number 58 of IPL 2025 between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals in Dharamsala has been stopped due to a floodlight failure. The incident occurred during the 11th over of the game when Punjab were 122-1 with the loss of Priyansh Arya's wicket. The players waited on the field for a long time, but were eventually taken off it, creating suspense over the future of the game.

Long Halt Creates Uncertainty Over Future Of PBKS vs DC IPL Match

However, according to various sources, the reason for the game being stopped is not just floodlight failure, but security issues, due to escalating tensions between India and Pakistan. Also, there are reports that crowd has been asked to leave the stadium, and thus, the situation currently is quite tricky.

More clarity on the situation is expected soon, and currently the match has been halted with Punjab Kings in a strong position. The match started at 8:30 PM due to rain, and Shreyas Iyer decided to bat first after winning the toss. Their young openers batted well with Prabhsimran Singh and Priyansh Arya coming out all guns blazing. Priyansh Arya was looking good for his second IPL century, but T Natarajan found a crucial breakthrough just before the game was halted.

The updates regarding the official position of the game are likely to arrive soon.
