The 57th group-stage match of the ongoing Indian Premier League season will witness the battle between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Lucknow Super Giants. The high-voltage clash is scheduled at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

Led by Pat Cummins, the Orange Army had an emphatic start to the season, winning five of their first seven matches. 

However, after that, they had an exponential downfall, losing three of their subsequent four fixtures. 

The most significant reason behind their recent underwhelming performance is the abysmal batting form of Abhishek Sharma and Heinrich Klaasen.  

Abishek's poor form has prevented them from getting off to a flyer as they used to earlier in the tournament. Although Nitish Kumar Reddy and Shahbaz Ahmed has shown promising signs, Klaasen's failure to bat long has let them down big time. 

On the bowling front, T Natarajan has been the most prolific contributor for SRH, scalping 15 wickets. 

Meanwhile skipper Cummins has managed 13 scalps at an ordinary average of 30.53. So, with their playoffs spot at stake, it's high time Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Cummins start picking wickets regularly for their side.

Lucknow Super Giants

On the other hand, Lucknow Super Giants also have had a similar campaign in the tournament, placed just below SRH in the standings with six victories. 

Barring the ever-consistent KL Rahul, ace Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis has showcased exemplary form for the Super Giants, amassing 352 runs at a tremendous strike rate of 153.71. 

The Super Giants are also reliant on Nicholas Pooran, who has enjoyed stellar success in the middle overs since joining their side. 

However, the worrisome batting form of their other Indian batters has emerged as a serious concern for Rahul and co. 

Ayush Badoni and Deepak Hooda haven't been consistent, while Devdutt Padikkal and Arshin Kulkarni have been huge flops despite being given a long rope. 

Regarding LSG's bowling department, Mohsin Khan has looked sharp since making his mid-season comeback. 

In the absence of Mayank Yadav, the likes of Yash Thakur, Naveen-ul-Haq and Yudhvir Charak have also chipped in with crucial breakthroughs. 

So, apart from Bishnoi's lack of striking ability, nothing seems troublesome regarding LSG's bowling department.
