It's a similar story for RCB as for MI, as the Royal Challengers Bangalore have played ten games with five victories and 5 losses. With 10 points and an NRR of -0.209, they are positioned above MI in the fifth spot in the table.

RCB locked horns with Delhi Capitals (DC) in their previous outing in Delhi, where the hosts beat Faf du Plessis's side convincingly by seven wickets.

The Royal Challengers won the toss and elected to bat first. Du Plessis made 45, while Virat Kohli struck another half-century (55). Mahipal Lomror hit his maiden IPL fifty as the visitors reached 181/4.

Chasing 182, opener and wicketkeeper batter, Phil Salt took charge right from the beginning as he hammered 87 off just 45 with eight fours and six maximums. Rilee Rossouw remained unbeaten on 35 off 22 as the Capitals reached their target in 16.4 overs, losing just three wickets. For his destructive knock, Salt won the Player of the Match award.

Courtesy of his knock, the visitors reached 171/7 in 20 overs. Karn Sharma was the pick of the RCB bowlers for his spell of 2/32 (4).

In reply, openers Virat Kohli and Faf went berserk as the duo shared a 148-run opening partnership. The former remained not out on 82 off just 49, while Faf got dismissed for 73 off 43. The home side completed the chase easily in 16.2 overs with the loss of just two wickets. Faf grabbed the Player of the Match award for his captain's knock.
