It was a perfect day out for the Indian side against South Africa in Johannesburg, as they recorded the victory by the highest margin of 106 runs versus this opposition. Earlier, it was Suryakumar Yadav who smacked a 55-ball century, and with the ball, Kuldeep Yadav was the star bowler with a fifer, that too on his birthday.

Introduced in the tenth over, Kuldeep left an immediate impact as he castled Donovan Ferreira on the final delivery of his first over and later went on to dismiss Keshav Maharaj, Nandre Burger, and Lizaad Williams alongside the most crucial wicket of David Miller, who recorded figures of 5/17 in just 2.5 overs. This was the major reason for their collapse, as they were bowled out for 95, failing to chase down 202.

To the uninitiated, this was his second fifer in T20 cricket, as his first one came against England in 2018 at Manchester. With this, he became the first Indian spinner to pick two five-wicket hauls in SENA countries (South Africa, England, New Zealand, and Australia) in T20I cricket, a feat no one has ever achieved in the blue jersey.

Meanwhile, India's fightback helped them to finish the series on a level with the Proteas as the first match was washed out, while the second game saw the home team earn a crucial victory.

After this win, the Men in Blue will feature in the three-match ODI series against the African side that begins on 17th December.
