Team India to face the South Africans in the second ODI of their three-match series on October 9. The visiting Proteas narrowly escaped with a win in the first match, despite Sanju Samson’s scintillating knock for India in the run-chase.

The Shikhar Dhawan-led side suffered defeat in the first ODI after they had thumped Zimbabwe and West Indies 3-0 each earlier this year. While they lost to South Africa by just nine runs, the margin of defeat was set to be much larger if not for Samson’s magnum opus efforts in the Indian innings.
