In a significant development, India have won the toss and decided to bowl first in their third group-stage game of the World Cup 2023 against Pakistan.

At toss, Indian captain Rohit Sharma revealed that they would field first considering the dew in the evening. Shubman Gill marks his return, with Ishan Kishan making way for him. That's the only change India have made for this high-voltage face-off.

"We are going to bowl first. It cannot get bigger than this. Fantastic atmosphere. You always dream of playing in such of this big crowd and it is really special. The wicket isn't going to change much. Also, dew may play a factor in the second half of the match. Lot of boxes ticked but we want to keep striving for the best," said Rohit.

Meanwhile, Pakistan captain Babar Azam disclosed that they also wanted to field first keeping the dew in mind. He also urged his troops to fine-tune their ground fielding in this mega clash.

"Yeah, to be honest, we wanted to bowl first. Yes, we have a good two wins, and the momentum is too high. To be honest, improvement in the field. If we had to win matches, we have to field well. We had a couple of good practice sessions as well. We have no changes. We are going with the same team."
