Suryakumar Yadav played another brilliant innings and once again showed the world why is regarded as the best T20 batter of this era. He played some gorgeous shots and took the Bangladesh bowlers to the cleaners.
However, Bangladesh pacer, Mustafizur Rahman found a way to get his wicket as he played with SKY's ego and got the big fish. Suryakumar is a player who loves to target the leg side region and even in the match against Bangladesh, the India skipper tried the same thing.
Out of the 29 runs he scored, 28 of those were struck on the leg side and this is how Mustafizur decided to trap him. In the 6th over, Mustafiz was taken for back-to-back sixes, but the Bangladesh pacer persisted with the lines on the middle and leg.
There were 3 fielder out in the deep towards the leg side as Suryakumar tried for another whip on the leg side and found the fielder at deep backward square leg.
Any other bowler would have changed his lines after getting smacked for sixes, but Mustafiz persisted with it and got the reward.
Bangladesh on the verge of defeat in 1st T20I
In the first innings, it was the Indian bowlers who dominated the proceedings. They took wickets at regular intervals and never allowed Bangladesh to get away with the contest.
At one stage it looked as if they'll get bundled out under 100, but Mehidy Hasan Miraz played a gritty knock and steered his side to a decent total.
India, in reply started on a rampage as it started raining sixes and they raced away to 50 in no time. At the time of writing, India are on the verge of winning the game, having lost only 3 wickets.
