Everything is going according to the plan for India and Mayank Yadav in the first T20I vs Bangladesh in Gwalior. The Indian speedster, who impressed everyone in the IPL 2024, earned his debut cap, earlier this evening and instantly made a mark.
Captain Suryakumar Yadav gave Mayank the ball in the 6th over, and the LSG pacer was at his menacing best, bowling a maiden over to start his international journey. However, things got better in his second over as the right-arm pacer got the prized wicket of Mahmudullah to push Bangladesh on the back-foot.
The Bangladesh batters were having a hard time facing Mayank, and the fast bowler showed his class to stun the senior Bangladesh batter.
He bowled a length ball outside the off as Mahmudullah charged down the track and tried to slog through. He gets an outside-edge as the ball flies towards the fielder at deep point who took a simple catch. Mayank was ecstatic after grabbing his maiden international wicket.
India on top Vs struggling Bangladesh
Opting to bowl first, India have been the dominant side of the two. They have already scalped 4 wickets and Bangladesh look clueless at the moment.
Arshdeep Singh started the wicket carnage, and he was soon joined by comeback man, Varun Chakravarthy as the Tigers had lost 3 wickets. The icing on the cake was Mayank Yadav, who bagged the 4th wicket to stun the visitors. It wasn't long before Chakravarthy grabbed his second wicket and Bangladesh's fifth as India could smell an easy win.
