India's T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav achieved a phenomenal milestone as he struck a belligerent cameo in the first T20 International against Bangladesh in Gwalior. Renowned as India's Mr 360, Suryakumar smashed three gigantic sixes, going past England's Jos Buttler on the list of batters with the most number of maximums in the shortest format.

After restricting Bangladesh to a meagre 127-run total, India had a brisk start to their innings, with Sanu Samson and Abhishek Sharma taking on the visiting pacers straightaway. However, it took a little time for Surya to arrive at the crease, as he joined Samson following Abhishek's disastrous run-out dismissal.

The Indian captain was unperturbed by the southpaw's early departure, announcing his arrival with a massive six over the square leg off Mustafizur Rahman. He also targeted Taskin Ahmed, hitting him for a similar six and achieving the aforementioned milestone in this process.

However, Suryakumar Yadav couldn't convert his start into a big score, with Mustafizur Rahman dismissing him for 29 runs. But considering it was a sub-par target, Surya's cameo was instrumental in India's dominance with the bat.

After the skipper's departure, Samson became Mehidy Hasan Miraz's first victim, being dismissed for 29 runs. Before getting out, the stylish batter from Kerala hammered six glorious boundaries, putting India in a commanding position.

Sanju Samson's departure brought Hardik Pandya and the debutant Nitish Kumar Reddy together in the middle. At the time of writing, India were cruising towards an emphatic win, placed at 95 for three in 9.1 overs.
