Team India recorded their lowest-ever total against Australia at home as the hosts got packed for a mere 117-run first-innings score.
After being asked to bat first at Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam, India were left dumbfounded as Mitchell Starc, Sean Abbott and Nathan Ellis rattled them.
While Starc's five-for included most of India's primary batters, Abbott and Ellis took care of the others as the Aussie seamers had a whale of a time.
For India, Virat Kohli top-scored with 31 runs, while Axar Patel scored an unbeaten 29.
Although this is India's lowest ODI total versus Australia at home, it comes fourth in the overall tally. The Men in Blue had earlier been bowled out for 78, 100 and 112 runs in the ODIs versus Sri Lanka, West Indies and Sri Lanka respectively.
Also, the Visakhapatnam ODI marked India's second-lowest total while batting first in a white-ball match at home. 112 against Sri Lanka at Dharamsala tops of the list.
Meanwhile, Australia cruised in the run-chase. Their openers Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh completed the target in just 11 overs to draw level the series.
