Riyan Parag is the captain of RR in the absence of Sanju Samson, and after string of failures, the batter has finally lived upto his billing with a spectacular 95 against KKR at Eden Gardens. He scored his runs in just 45 balls, and helped RR make stellar comeback when they looked down and out at one point in time.

Riyan also smashed six sixes off consecutive legal deliveries and turned the game on his head. However, the batter could not finished off the game and ended up losing his wicket in the 18th over. Riyan Parag was equally dominant against pace and spin, he scored 37 off 19 balls against fast bowlers, and scored 58 from just 26 balls against spinners.
Riyan Parag walked out to bat with his team two down for just eight in the second over. Riyan Parag despite not getting enough runs in the previous games, started with positive mindset and kept the required rate under check. RR were 71-5 at one point in time, however, Hetmyer gave good support to Riyan Parag, and RR came mighty close to the target of 207.

Parag's wicket though was a big blow to RR in the 18th over when Harshit Rana got the better of the stylish right-hander. In the end, it all came down to RR needing 3 off the final ball, but they could manage just one run, and eventually lost the game.
KKR with the win are now in the sixth position with 11 points from 11 games, while RR still only have three wins in their kitty.
