The 14th match of Indian Premier League 2024 is all set to unfold with Mumbai Indians returning to their beloved Wankhede Stadium. They are up against Rajasthan Royals and Sanju Samson has won an important toss and has decided to bowl first.

Mumbai Indians have made one big change as they have brought in Akash Madhawal in place of Shams Mulani. Madhwal did brilliantly in the last edition and his addition will add more depth in MI’s bowling line-up. 

RR, on the other hand, will be without Sandeep Sharma for this game because of an injury and Nandre Burger has been included in the playing XI. They are playing four overseas players for the first time in their starting XI this season, and would be looking to use some of the early moisture on the fresh Wankhede pitch.

Mumbai Indians Playing XI: Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan (wk), Naman Dhir, Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya (c), Tim David, Gerald Coetzee, Piyush Chawla, Jasprit Bumrah, Akash Madhwal, Kwena Maphaka.

Impact Players: Dewald Brevis, Nehal Wadhera, Romario Shepherd, Nuwan Thushara, Shams Mulani

The pitch as always is a belter and if MI batters start off well, we might well see them scoring in excess of 200 today. RR though have all the arsenal that is needed to beat MI at their home, and with dew expected to play its part in the second half, they are surely in a more advantageous position after winning the toss.

It is all poised very nicely for another cracking game in this 17th edition of IPL and let’s see how things unfold in this battle of two powerhouses.
