Just the news England-Pakistan fans wanted to hear. The 1st Test match between the two sides in Rawalpindi will commence as per the schedule today. 

There was a bit of concern yesterday when the news broke out that there is an outbreak of viral infection in the England camp and at-least a dozen players were infected by it.

The ECB has informed the PCB that they are in a position to field an XI, and, as such, the first #PAKvENG Test will commence as per schedule today (Thursday, 1 December) at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

But ECB have just informed PCB that they are in a position to field a playing XI and the game can go ahead as per the schedule.

Yesterday the two boards unanimously agreed to delay the decision of the commencement of the 1st Test match. The decision was made based on the medical advice from the England medical doctors, as it revolved from players' health and welfare.

As far as the contest is concerned, England have already named their playing XI for the opening Test. Liam Livingstone will finally make his much awaited debut in the longest format of the game.
