Pakistan are up against South Africa in the opening Test of the two-match Test series. The home team is batting first, and despite an early wicket, the partnership between Imam-ul-Haq and Shan Masood kept them going. However, things changed after Masood's wicket as Pakistan lost some quick wickets with Babar Azam scoring just 23.

It was a nervy little knock from Babar Azam, and even before his wicket, the batter had an anxious moment when the umpire gave him out at a score of just one. It was the first ball of the 49th over, and Muthuswamy bowled a lovely loopy delivery, around off. Babar Azam pressed forward to defend it, but it seemed that the ball kissed the outside edge, and the keeper caught it. The South African players appealed, and the umpire gave it out.

Babar Azam proves Ramiz Raja wrong with right DRS decision

However, Babar Azam was confident that he did not edge it and took the DRS. Now, Ramiz Raja, the former Pakistan cricketer, was in the commentary box at that time. As soon as Babar Azam took the DRS, Ramiz Raja said to one of his colleagues in Hindi, "yeh out hai, drama karega" (He is out, just doing drama of DRS). Raja did not say it on the mike, but his remarks were still heard in the background, and they reflect his feelings about Babar Azam.

Nevertheless, Babar Azam's call to take the DRS was right, and the umpire's decision was overturned. Thus, Ramiz Raja, who accused Babar Azam of doing drama, was proven wrong and his remarks seem to be based more on his personal grudge than cricketing sense.

Eventually, Babar Azam lost his wicket off the bowling of Premelan Subrayen in the 60th over. It is a cause of worry for Pakistan, and Babar Azam would need to score runs to avoid getting criticised in future.
