It has a new air evacuation system which soaks up the water on the surface in quick time but at the same time it aerate the root zone which keeps the plants healthy. An underground reservoir and a plant room are part of this whole system
The Stadium has a SIS air-evacuation technology which helps to dry the surface in no time and the game takes about 15-30 minutes to resume once the rain stops.
What happens if PBKS Vs DC gets washed out?
Both Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals are fighting it out for the playoff spot and if rain abandons this contest, the consequences could be severe for the teams.
In case of a washout match, both the teams will get a point each, and that'll mean, PBKS will reach at 16 points from 12 games, but their qualification won't be confirmed.
On the other hand, a point will mean that DC will have 14 points, and will equal MI in points tally but will remain at fifth spot.
