India bowed out of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 in the semi-finals, losing to eventual winners England in a rather humiliating manner.

For many, what could have been Team India's best chance to clinch their second T20 World Cup title went begging under the watchful eyes of coach Rahul Dravid and captain Rohit Sharma, who were heavily criticised for their tactics and selections.

India's stand-in captain for the New Zealand tour, Hardik Pandya, in an interaction ahead of the three-match T20I series, revealed that the players feel disappointed about the outcome but have to come out of any slump quickly as they are professionals.

According to ANI, Pandya said the team management is already looking ahead to the 2024 T20 World Cup.

"There is a disappointment of the T20 World Cup, but we are professionals. We need to cope with it the way we cope with our success and move forward, look to get better and rectify the mistakes we made."

"They have always put on a show and challenge you as a team."

The Indian team will be without their first-side regulars like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Mohammad Shami.

Both sides will clash in a three-match ODI series post the T20Is, where India will be led by Shikhar Dhawan.
