The 52nd match of IPL 2025 between RCB and CSK turned out to be quite a heated game. It was a roller-coaster of a ride, and in the 17th over, the tensions escalated after a decision went against CSK. On the third ball of the 17th over, Ngidi bowled a full toss to Brevis. The batter missed and the ball hit his pad. A big appeal followed, and the umpire gave it out.

Brevis then started a discussion with his partner Jadeja, and took the DRS eventually. However, according to the umpires, he was late, and they did not allow the review. This irritated Jadeja, and he was involved in an intense discussion with the umpire and Tim David. Eventually, the replays rolled in after Dewald Brevis walked out, and they showed that the ball was clearly missing the stumps.

Jadeja was not happy, because he thought that they took the DRS, before the allotted time finished. The timer was also not shown on the screen according to various sources, and it created tension between Jadeja and umpires. However, the decision was made and Brevis' wicket turned out to be a game-changer, as RCB eventually won the match by two runs.

Brevis' wicket came after the wicket of Ayush Mhatre in the previous ball, and Ngidi's 3 wickets for just 30 runs in three overs proved costly for CSK.

However, with the bat, a stunning knock of 53 from 14 balls by Romario Shepherd changed the momentum. RCB were struggling to reach even 200 at one point in time, but they reached 213 because of his efforts, and managed to clinch an absolute thriller.
