SS vs CGC: Raja, Amir decimates Chattogram Challengers

It was smooth sailing for Sylhet Strikers in the opening match of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2022 as they pushed aside Chattogram Challengers with ease, winning by eight wickets.

Unflappable Shanto 

Chasing 90 runs, Sylhet lost their initial wicket in the form of Colin Ackermann at 12. However, Najmul Hossain Shanto undid the damage, stitching a 63-run partnership with Zakir Hasan.

Although Hasan walked back with Sylhet's score being 75, there was too little to play for Chattogram as Shanto's 41-ball 43 helped them cross the line in the 13th over.

Raja, Amir causes destruction 

Rejaur Rahman Raja and Mohammad Amir were at their very best as the duo sent the Challengers' batting line-up down the drain, claiming four and two wickets respectively.

Chattogram's innings did go nowhere as they continued to lose wickets with every Strikers bowler doing a good enough job.

While Chattogram not getting all-out seemed like an achievement in itself, their total of 89/9 was not sufficient to even put up a fight.
