Trent Boult will go down as one of the finest new-ball bowlers in cricket. He has picked wickets regularly across formats, and though he is not playing for New Zealand currently, he is still going strong in IPL. In a crucial Qualifier 2 of IPL 2025, the Kiwi pacer has done his job again with a big wicket of in-form Prabhsimran Singh in the third over of Punjab's innings.

The wicket of Prabhsimran Singh was his 126th in the powerplay and he has equalled Bhuvneshwar Kumar now. Boult has got to the figure in just his 218th innings while Bhuvneshwar Kumar has taken 269 innings.
Boult though is third in the list with Mohammed Amir at the second position and David Willey at the top. Amir has 134 powerplay wickets in T20s while David Willey has 149 of those.

The Kiwi pacer has played for five teams in the IPL, starting with Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2015 season. His best season for MI came in the 2020 edition when he picked 25 wickets in their title winning campaign, while he also did well for Rajasthan Royals in the last cycle.
