India’s 'swing king' Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who last played international cricket in 2022, reminded fans of his class with a stunning display in the UPT20 2025 against Kashi Rudras. Opening the bowling attack for Lucknow Falcons, Bhuvneshwar produced picture-perfect outswingers on a good length that left batters clueless.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar Rolls Back The Years

Deepak Rana and Karan Sharma, who opened for Kashi Rudras were beaten comprehensively in Bhuvneshwar's very first over, underlining his mastery with the new ball.

Although Kashi Rudras struggled after being put in to bat first, Bhuvneshwar’s opening spell stood out. He bowled four overs, conceding just 21 runs and dismissing Upendra Yadav in the 17th over. While Akshu Bajwa registered the best economy rate in the match, Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s spell was a timely reminder of his unmatched skill and remains an act of pure class.

Kumar's Mastery Fails To Charge Up Lucknow Batters

Kashi Rudras registered a commanding 19-run victory over Lucknow Falcons while defending a total of 187/4. Karan Sharma led from the front with his fluent 71 off 44 balls, laced with seven fours and three sixes, setting the tone for the innings, despite the ick given by Bhuvi.

Opening partner Deepak Rana anchored the innings with a patient 46 off 43, as the duo shared a crucial 114-run stand for the first wicket. Cameos from Shubham Chaubey (16*) and Saksham Rai (26* off 14) in the death overs powered Kashi Rudras to 187/4. Among the Falcons’ bowlers, Akshu Bajwa impressed with figures of 1/20 while Vipraj Nigam struck twice but proved expensive.

Chasing 188, Lucknow Falcons faltered despite a brisk 47 from Samarth Singh. Priyam Garg (32 off 27) and Kritagya Singh (28 off 15) kept hopes alive, but regular wickets pegged them back. Mohammad Saif’s 26-run cameo injected momentum before his dismissal ended Falcons’ fight. They finished on 168/7 in 20 overs. Atal Bihari Vipin Rai was the pick of the bowlers with 3/32, while Shiva Singh chipped in with two scalps.
