England’s star opener Ben Duckett has added another feather to his cap, completing his sixth Test century on Day 5 of the first Test against India at Headingley. The 30-year-old followed up his earlier fifty with his second red-ball hundred against India and his third overall on home soil.

Duckett opened the innings alongside Zak Crawley, tasked with the challenge of chasing down 371 runs. The two openers took the responsibility upon themselves and stitched together a 160-run stand for the first wicket. Duckett took 121 balls to reach his century, which included 14 boundaries.

Ben Duckett Dropped On 97 By Jaiswal

At the time of writing this article, rain has stopped play and England are 181/0, requiring just 190 more runs to win the first Test. However, the visitors had the chance to draw the first blood but Yashasvi Jaiswal dropped Duckett on 97.

The incident occurred during Siraj's over when the English opener looked to pull one away for a boundary, but didn't time it well. Jaiswal covered the ground, but misjudged the catch. The Indian opener is having a Test to forget in the field as it was his fourth dropped catch of the match.
