They started off with a dominating performance with the ball, bowling Melbourne Stars around hundred on the board. Moreover, they chased down a tricky target with ridiculous ease in their third fixture against the Hurricanes.
Jason Behrendorff is currently sitting at the top of the wicket-taking list with seven wickets in just two games. Zak Crawley and Aaron Hardie have been at their agressive best and will be looking to continue the momentum.
Overall, a pretty brutal side to face currently, sitting at third in the league standings and eyeing to climb up the ladder and make it three wins in a row.

The Melbourne Renegades find themselves in a difficult position coming into this as they are yet to win a game this season. Out of their four fixtures so far, the Renegades have faced defeats in three of them, losing one to relentless rain when the Scorchers came away.
Firstly, they fell 8 short against the Sixers in their opening game and then the bowling could not defend the total in two back to back games. As a result, they are currently placed second bottom of the points table with one point from the wash out.
Jake Fraser-McGurk has been the only real positive to look at from the Renegades’ camp throughout this season so far. The Melbourne based franchise badly needs to turn the table around and bounce back to winning ways before it's too late in the competition.
