The ongoing three-match T20I series between hosts Bangladesh Women and India Women has been a nightmare for batters, with the visitors taking an unassailable 2-0 lead, after winning the second encounter by 8 runs. The third and final T20I will also be played at Sher-E-Bangla Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka.

Team Preview

Bangladesh Women

Bangladesh batters blew away like a house of cards on Tuesday, against Indian spinners, despite chasing a paltry 96. Only captain and wicket-keeper Nigar Sultana, who scored 38 off 55, no one else supported the batswoman. With Sobhana Mostary still doubtful, Bangladesh could play Murshida Khatun, who will look to leave a mark.

The bowling has been on point this series, with the conditions conducive to slow bowlers, which has been the case traditionally in Bangladesh. Sultana Khatun, who is the leading wicket-taker (6) will look to finish off the series in style, and help the home side deny India a white-wash.

India Women

While India might have pocketed the series 2-0, the standard of batting has been a letdown. Despite being the more experienced, the likes of Smriti Mandhana, Shafali Verma, and Jemimah Rodrigues have struggled on slow and low tracks, something they aced last time.

Captain Harmanpreet Kaur's heroics in the second T20I helped India gain some face. The bowling has been top-notch, with Verma being the dark horse with four wickets. Both batters and bowlers need to pull up their socks with the One-Day Internationals (ODI) starting from Sunday.

Pitch Report

Both matches at Mirpur have been low-scoring, where the track has been difficult to bat on. With spin dominating, batters who look to play on the rise have found wanting, while batters with solid technique have been able to muster runs. Expect another low-scoring nail-biter, with chasing being preferred.
